Key Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate coding of hospital-based professional services by reviewing medical records and assigning appropriate codes
• Maintain current knowledge of coding regulations and attend relevant workshops
• Collaborate with team members and provide education to physicians to ensure accurate documentation for coding

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Two years of medical coding experience in a similar environment
• National coding certification (CPC or CCS)
• Ability to meet performance standards for Level II Coder
• Familiarity with Medicare and Teaching Physician Rules
