Certified Professional Coder Supervisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Supervisor Physician Coding Education.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and delivery of educational audits and materials focused on coding accuracy and documentation improvement
• Manage day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and payer guidelines
• Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for staff, providing training oversight and addressing documentation clarification questions

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate Degree in Health Information Management or applicable experience
• Minimum of 3 years of professional coding experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role preferred
• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) and CPMA (Certified Professional Medical Auditor) certifications required
• Extensive knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, outpatient coding, and E/M guidelines
• Coding software and Epic experience preferred
