Job Summary

A company is looking for a Professional Fee Abstractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess professional sessions for documented conditions and apply appropriate coding per payer guidelines
• Code a minimum of 60-100 sessions per shift, ensuring accuracy and collaboration with healthcare providers
• Analyze high-risk encounters for charge capture and facilitate modifications to clinical documentation as needed

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience required
• Certification such as CCS-P, CPC, RHIA, or RHIT is required
• Preferred certifications include CRC and CEMC
• Knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements related to billing and coding is essential
