Certified Professional Fee Abstractor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Professional Fee Abstractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Review physician documentation and ensure accurate coding of professional services using ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, HCPCS, and applicable modifiers
• Maintain 100% charge capture accuracy through diligent review of EPIC Charge Review Workqueues and related systems
• Participate in provider education and training to enhance documentation quality and compliance

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Active certification required: CPC, CCS-P, RHIA, or RHIT (CPC-A not eligible)
• Minimum 3-5 years of coding experience
• Strongly preferred: pediatric experience and/or background in NICU, PICU, Orthopedics, or Cardiology
• Proficiency with EPIC and coding software
