Job Summary

Reviewing professional fee physician coding for accuracy and compliance, the fully remote Certified Professional Fee Auditor will conduct audits, validate code selections, and provide actionable feedback to enhance coding quality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform retrospective and concurrent audits of professional fee coding
• Validate CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM code selection, and modifier usage
• Identify trends and provide clear, actionable audit feedback to coding staff

Required qualifications

• Active credentials: CPC, CPMA, CCS, RHIA, or RHIT
• Minimum 3+ years of professional fee auditing experience or 7+ years of coding experience
• Strong knowledge of RVU, CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and NCCI edits
• Experience auditing physician services, preferably in hospital-based or large practice settings
• Expertise in surgical specialties, E/M leveling, and professional component coding
