Certified Professional Fee Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Professional Fee Coder II (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Adheres to official coding guidelines and applies relevant coding systems
• Codes all documented professional services and ensures timely submission for billing
• Provides feedback to physicians regarding documentation and compliance standards

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a work-related field from an accredited institution, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Two years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
• Certification as a CPC, CCSP, RHIT, RHIA, or CCS is required
• Knowledge of ICD-9-CM & CPT-4 coding conventions and medical record documentation standards
• Familiarity with CCI and CMS compliance issues
