Certified Professional Fee Coder

Job Summary

To support accurate reimbursement and reliable clinical data, the fully-remote Certified Professional Fee Coder will review patient records and clinical documentation to assign standardized codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services while maintaining a high accuracy rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and code patient records, discharge summaries, and operative reports while ensuring compliance with coding standards
• Collaborate with clinicians and administrative staff to resolve documentation queries and maintain productivity standards
• Participate in audits and process improvements to enhance data quality and coding efficiency

Required Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of revenue cycle professional fee coding experience or equivalent training
• Intermediate knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10 coding conventions, and clinical documentation requirements
• Ability to complete required medical center computer systems and coding training
• Knowledge of federal, state, and commercial carrier coding and billing standards
• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent licensure
