Certified Radiology Coding Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Certified Radiology Coding Specialist will provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for various specialties, ensuring accurate code assignment and compliance with ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Apply diagnosis and procedure codes with a focus on Radiology and Pathology services
• Interpret coding guidelines to ensure accurate coding and reimbursement impact
• Maintain compliance with ethical coding standards and participate in ongoing training

Required qualifications

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• Minimum of 6 months of on-the-job coding experience
• Working knowledge of EMR and billing systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
