Certified Risk Adjustment Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Risk Adjustment Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Abstract and assign accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes from medical record documentation
• Analyze EMRs and supplemental data for undocumented or incorrectly coded HCCs
• Collaborate with coding managers and project leads to resolve documentation issues

Required Qualifications

• Active coding certification: CCS, CPC, CRC, RHIT, or RHIA
• Minimum of 3 years' recent experience in risk adjustment coding
• In-depth expertise in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and CMS/HHS HCC models
• Proficiency with EMR systems and coding platforms
• Strong grasp of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and pathophysiology
