Job Summary
A company is looking for a Risk Adjustment Coder.
Key Responsibilities
- Codes, abstracts, and analyzes inpatient and/or outpatient medical records using ICD-10 for CMS risk adjustment purposes
- Follows Official ICD-10 guidelines and CMS risk adjustment guidelines
- Meets productivity and accuracy standards while defending coding decisions during audits
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High School diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of professional coding experience in a hospital or physician setting required
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) license required
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred
