Job Summary

A company is looking for a Risk Adjustment Coder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Codes, abstracts, and analyzes inpatient and/or outpatient medical records using ICD-10 for CMS risk adjustment purposes
  • Follows Official ICD-10 guidelines and CMS risk adjustment guidelines
  • Meets productivity and accuracy standards while defending coding decisions during audits
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of professional coding experience in a hospital or physician setting required
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) license required
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred
