Certified Risk Adjustment Coder

Job Summary

Working fully remote in a full-time capacity, the Certified Risk Adjustment Coder will review member and claim data for validation, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with risk-adjusting diagnoses.

Key responsibilities:

• Review member and claim data validation aspects, including member details and service dates
• Confirm or deny risk-adjusting diagnoses billed on claims for specific dates of service
• Add valid but unreported risk-adjusting diagnoses as necessary

Required qualifications:

• Active certification through AAPC or AHIMA
• Minimum of 5 years of verifiable risk adjustment coding experience post-certification
• Ability to maintain a 95% accuracy rate and 3 CPH
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM IP and OP coding
