Job Summary
To enhance coding accuracy across markets, the full-time Certified Risk Adjustment Director will identify and implement initiatives, collaborate with leadership, and manage projects while cultivating relationships with key stakeholders in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with Market and Provider Leadership to identify opportunities and facilitate the implementation of coding improvement processes
- Manage projects related to complete and accurate coding, including vendor assessment and coordination with clinical teams
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on risk adjustment models and maintain a focus on coding compliance and education
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience highly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership position in risk adjustment
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required; CPC and Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) preferred
- Extensive knowledge of documentation and coding guidelines established by CMS and AMA
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records and other relevant software applications
