Certified Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support a remote team, the contract Senior Data Engineer will manage the development, testing, and deployment of scalable data architectures and pipelines, ensuring robust data solutions for enterprise decision-making over an 18-month period.

Key responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and implement data pipelines and solutions using ETL and ELT processes across cloud infrastructure
• Develop and support scalable, fault-tolerant data architectures within Azure SQL, SQL MI, and Azure Synapse platforms
• Create analytic dashboards and reports using Microsoft PowerBI, ensuring effective data visualization and analysis

Required qualifications:

• A minimum of four years of experience in authoring and monitoring data pipelines, or eight years with a relevant degree
• At least five years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer in a lead role, focusing on data architecture and modeling
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server SSIS and Microsoft Azure Data Factory for ETL and ELT solutions
• Current Microsoft certifications, including Microsoft Azure Data Engineer or similar
• Experience developing solutions that include Python components and financial data analysis
