Certified Senior Medical Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Medical Coder (Facility).

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate clinical and demographic information for accurate code selection and claim information
• Investigate and resolve coding-related system edits, rejections, and insurance denials
• Provide training support and guidance on complex account escalations

Required Qualifications

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or similar certification required
• Minimum of three years of medical coding experience, facility experience preferred
• Understanding of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, HCPCS coding compliance guidelines
• Ability to work independently and support a high-performing team
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
