Job Summary

A company is looking for a Specialty Coder - PHYS.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes, and codes medical record documentation for various medical and surgical subspecialties
• Audits orders and claims before submission for accuracy to minimize claim denials
• Provides technical guidance to physicians and departmental staff in identifying and resolving coding issues

Required Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Coding Certificate program (AAPC accredited) Preferred
• 3 years of coding experience for Interventional Radiology, Cardiology, EP, and Cardiothoracic specialties Required
• One or more coding certifications required upon hire
• Experience coding across multiple specialties and remote coding experience is Preferred
