Job Summary

A company is looking for Outpatient Surgery ProFee Coders for remote full-time and part-time positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform multi-specialty outpatient clinic, emergency department, minor procedures, radiology, rehabilitation, and lab coding using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Maintain active coding credentials and adhere to VHA coding guidelines
• Utilize coding tools such as E/M calculators and 3M Encoder for accurate coding practices

Required Qualifications

• At least two years of relevant coding experience, preferably with VA or government contractors
• Active certification as a medical coder from recognized organizations (AHIMA or AAPC)
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding conventions
• Familiarity with site-specific coding guidelines and E/M leveling
• High School Diploma or equivalent education required
