Certified Surgery Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder Certified (Remote) - Surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical record documentation to select appropriate diagnoses and procedures for billing
• Code evaluation and management to appropriate CPT and ICD-9 codes
• Assist coders and meet with physicians to ensure proper documentation and coding accuracy

Required Qualifications

• Must possess one of the following coding credentials: AHIMA (CCA, CCS, CCS-P) or AAPC (CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CPC-H-A)
• No specific work experience required
• A diploma, certification, or degree is not required
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred
• Associate degree in Medical Coding & Billing preferred
