Certified Surgery Coder

Job Summary

Reviewing medical record documentation, the full-time Certified Surgery Coder will determine appropriate billing codes and documentation requirements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Review medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures for accurate coding
• Code evaluations and management to appropriate CPT and ICD-9 codes
• Collaborate with physicians to resolve coding issues and ensure proper documentation

Required qualifications:

• Must possess one of the following coding credentials: CCA, CCS, CCS-P (AHIMA) or CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CPC-H-A (AAPC)
• No specific work experience is required for this position
• A diploma, certification, or degree is not required
