Job Summary

To ensure compliant billing practices, the full-time Certified Surgical Coder will accurately code hospital inpatient, outpatient, and professional fee encounters using ICD10/ICDPCS, CPT, or HCPCs codes while working remotely with a flexible schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately code all records according to ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCs classification systems
• Provide interdepartmental coding assistance and develop compliant coding methodologies
• Facilitate revenue optimization while maintaining compliance standards through various auditing and monitoring tasks

Required qualifications

• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent coding certification
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCs coding systems and regulatory guidelines
• Experience in coding hospital inpatient and outpatient records
• Ability to perform coding audits and maintain coding certification
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
