Job Summary

A company is looking for a Surgical Coding Specialist II, Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign diagnosis (ICD-10) and procedure codes (CPT/HCPCS) to patient encounters based on medical documentation
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and analyze medical records for coding purposes
• Participate in coding audits and maintain accurate records of coding activities

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Certified Professional Coder - American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) preferred
• 3-5 years of medical coding experience required
• In-depth knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Familiarity with coding guidelines set by the AMA and CMS
