Certified Trauma Registrar

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and dedicated, the full-time Certified Trauma Registrar will support the Trauma Services team by performing trauma registry data abstraction, coding, and reporting to enhance performance improvement and regulatory compliance while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify patients meeting trauma registry criteria
• Abstract and analyze medical record data, assigning AIS, ISS, and ICD-10 codes
• Ensure timely and accurate data entry and reporting to support quality initiatives

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of registry experience (Trauma, Stroke, Cardiac, Cancer, or similar)
• 2 years of healthcare experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD-10 coding
• Certified Specialist in Trauma Registry (CSTR) or ability to obtain within two years of eligibility
