Job Summary

A company is looking for a Profee Coder specializing in GI and Trauma Surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records and accurately code diagnostic and procedural information
• Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedure codes into electronic medical records
• Ensure compliance with coding rules and regulations for quality assurance

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent specialized training in medical record keeping
• At least one active coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC-A, RHIA, RHIT)
• Minimum of six months of professional coding services or related healthcare experience
• Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding principles as per professional standards
• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting using common office and coding software
