Job Summary

To support cancer registry operations remotely, the part-time Certified Tumor Registrar will ensure compliance with facility needs and State and Commission on Cancer requirements while collaborating with the Senior Cancer Registrar.

Key responsibilities

• Comply with cancer registry operations as directed by the Senior Cancer Registrar
• Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and tumor registry coding principles
• Adhere to institutional confidentiality guidelines while managing cancer data

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) certification through the NCRA
• Minimum of 3 years relevant healthcare experience with an Associate's degree or coding program certificate
• Extensive knowledge of ACoS and COC accreditation standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and cancer registry systems
