Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Data Quality Registrar in the Cancer Registry will manage quality and reporting projects, integrate cancer registry data with the Clinical Research Data Warehouse, and provide education to optimize departmental functions and enhance data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Create ad-hoc reports to support the Clinical Research Data Warehouse project
• Integrate cancer registry data with existing data in collaboration with Center for Research Informatics staff
• Oversee data quality in the cancer registry database and report findings to the Cancer Registry Manager

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or related field; Bachelor's preferred
• Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) certification required
• Seven or more years of experience in a cancer registry setting focusing on data quality
• Proficiency in cancer registry databases and Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of coding systems such as Collaborative Staging and AJCC Cancer Staging
