Certified Welding Inspector

Job Summary

To support construction quality assurance, the full-time Certified Welding Inspector will perform inspections, testing, and documentation of construction projects remotely, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct testing, observation, and inspection to verify adherence to contract specifications
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and document any nonconformance
• Communicate findings to project managers and collaborate on solutions for identified issues

Required qualifications

• American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
• American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level II certification in Visual Testing (VT) and one additional NDT method
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Civil or Construction Engineering Technology preferred
• 2-4 years of experience in construction inspection
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history may be required
