CFD Engineer Task Designer

Job Summary

Designing compact engineering challenges, the part-time hourly CFD Engineer Task Designer will create tasks that evaluate AI models on fluid dynamics reasoning while working remotely and independently.

Key responsibilities

• Design self-contained CFD and aerodynamics tasks that assess AI model reasoning
• Write clear problem statements and develop deterministic scoring checkers for model evaluation
• Review and iterate on tasks to ensure physical accuracy and appropriate difficulty

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience with OpenFOAM
• Solid foundation in fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and heat transfer fundamentals
• Background in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline (BEng/MEng or higher preferred)
• Able to formulate precise and verifiable engineering problems
• Strong written communication skills for explaining complex physics clearly
