CFD Engineer Task Designer

Job Summary

To support innovative AI research, the part-time hourly CFD Engineer AI Task Designer will create well-defined engineering challenges that evaluate AI models on fluid dynamics reasoning while working remotely and independently.

Key responsibilities

• Design compact CFD and aerodynamics tasks that assess AI engineering reasoning
• Write clear problem statements and develop deterministic scoring checkers for model evaluation
• Provide verified reference solutions and iterate on tasks for physical accuracy and clarity

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience with OpenFOAM
• Solid foundation in fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and heat transfer fundamentals
• Ability to formulate precise and objectively verifiable engineering problems
• Background in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline (BSc or higher preferred)
• Strong written communication skills in English for explaining complex physics clearly
