CFD Engineer Task Designer

Job Summary

Designing compact engineering challenges for AI training, the remote contract CFD Engineer AI Task Designer will create clear problem statements and scoring checkers based on computational fluid dynamics, working independently for 10-40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Design self-contained CFD and aerodynamics tasks to evaluate AI model reasoning
• Write clear problem statements addressing various fluid dynamics topics
• Develop deterministic scoring checkers and provide verified reference solutions for each task

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience with OpenFOAM
• Solid foundation in fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and heat transfer fundamentals
• Ability to formulate precise and verifiable engineering problems
• Background in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline (BE/BSc or higher preferred)
• Strong written communication skills for explaining complex physics clearly
