Charge Capture Coordinator

Job Summary

To enhance clinical revenue integrity, the full-time Charge Capture Coordinator will manage the accurate entry of clinical service charges into the billing system, conduct charge reconciliation, and communicate documentation issues within a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and enter hospital charges accurately into the Patient Accounting System, adhering to charge capture policies
• Perform daily charge reconciliation, correcting errors and ensuring completeness of accounts
• Communicate with clinical departments regarding incomplete documentation and charge entry errors for process improvement

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience in clinical or healthcare settings, including charge entry or medical records
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and understanding of computerized billing systems
• Current knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Basic coding knowledge and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
