Charge Capture Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Charge Specialist to manage charge capture and coding for various healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient records and assign appropriate billing codes using coding software
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical documentation and collaborate with Revenue Integrity staff
• Work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and maintain consistency in coding practices

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
• 2+ years of related work experience in a clinical or medical office setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding regulations
• Ability to work effectively with office software, coding, and billing systems
• Understanding of reimbursement methodologies related to clinical areas
