Charge Capture Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Revenue Integrity Department, the part-time Charge Capture Specialist will validate charge capture accuracy for assigned areas, review medical records, and ensure timely data transfer while working remotely from approved states.

Key responsibilities

• Review accounts and medical record documentation to accurately capture charges for services
• Complete charge capture tasks efficiently and deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Support team activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology preferred
• Two years of Revenue Cycle Charge Capture experience required
• Intermediate to high level knowledge of medical billing, coding, and charge capture guidelines
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and MS Office Suite applications
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members
