Charge Correction Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Charge Correction Representative responsible for making invoice corrections to facilitate billing according to insurance carrier requirements and coding policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and update patient demographics and insurance information in patient accounts
• Make modifications or corrections on claim edits and correct ICD-10, CPT-4 codes as designated by the coder
• Review weekly statements and claim edit reports, identifying and performing necessary corrections

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One year of previous medical billing and/or medical terminology preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of contractual billing procedures preferred
• Computer literate with ten-key experience preferred
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
