Charge Correction Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Charge Correction Representative responsible for invoice corrections to facilitate billing according to insurance carrier requirements and coding policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and update patient demographics and insurance information in patient accounts
• Make modifications or corrections on claim edits in accordance with established policy
• Review weekly statements and claim edit reports to identify and perform necessary corrections

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One year of previous medical billing and/or medical terminology preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of contractual billing procedures preferred
• Computer literate with ten-key experience a plus
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
