Charge Description Master Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations, the full-time remote Charge Description Master Specialist will manage the Chargemaster, act as a liaison between the hospital and revenue integrity teams, and provide training on CDM processes and updates.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily Chargemaster maintenance workflow and monitor compliance with system standards
• Respond to inquiries regarding Chargemaster issues and document all policies and procedures related to CDM maintenance
• Review clinical department charges for compliance with coding and billing regulations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience
• 3 years of hospital chargemaster experience, including knowledge of inpatient and outpatient billing requirements
• 3 years of experience with hospital charging practices
• 2 years of experience working with EMR related to Chargemaster, preferably EPIC
• Driving may be necessary; proof of driver license and auto insurance required upon request
