Charge Description Master Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations, the full-time Charge Description Master Specialist will manage the Chargemaster, serve as a liaison between hospital ministries and the Revenue Integrity department, and provide training on CDM maintenance processes in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily CDM maintenance workflow and monitor compliance with PSJH System standards
• Research and respond to inquiries regarding Chargemaster issues and documentation of policies and procedures
• Review clinical department charges for compliance with coding and billing regulations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3 years of hospital chargemaster experience, including use of CDM Maintenance software
• Experience with inpatient and outpatient billing requirements and knowledge of coding principles (CPT, HCPCS, ICD10)
• 2 years of experience working with EMR related to Chargemaster, preferably EPIC
• Driving may be necessary; proof of driver's license and auto insurance required
