Charge Description Master Specialist

Job Summary

As a key member of the PSJH System Revenue Integrity Chargemaster team, the full-time remote Charge Description Master Specialist will ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations, manage Chargemaster inquiries, and provide training to hospital staff on charge capture processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure the Chargemaster is consistent with coding and billing regulations while accurately representing services provided
• Act as a liaison between the Hospital ministry and the Revenue Integrity/Chargemaster Department, addressing inquiries and managing CDM maintenance requests
• Coordinate daily CDM maintenance workflow and monitor alignment with PSJH System standards while documenting policies and procedures

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience
• 3 years of hospital chargemaster experience, including familiarity with CDM Maintenance software and billing requirements
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD10 coding principles
• 3 years of experience with hospital charging practices
• 2 years of experience working with EMR related to Chargemaster, preferably EPIC
