Charge Description Master Specialist

Job Summary

To support the PSJH System Revenue Integrity Chargemaster team, the full-time remote Charge Description Master Specialist will ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations, act as a liaison between hospital ministries and the Chargemaster department, and provide training on CDM processes and updates.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Chargemaster maintenance workflow and ensure adherence to PSJH System standards
• Respond to inquiries from hospital ministries regarding Chargemaster issues and provide necessary training
• Collaborate with clinical and technical teams on projects impacting charge entry and compliance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3 years of hospital chargemaster experience, including knowledge of CDM Maintenance software and billing requirements
• 3 years of experience with hospital charging practices
• 2 years of experience working with EMR related to Chargemaster, preferably EPIC
• Driving may be necessary; proof of driver license and auto insurance required upon request
