Charge Entry Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Demographics Charge Entry Representative.

Key Responsibilities

• Create charge batches and enter patient demographics into the accounting system
• Review coding on charge tickets and supporting documentation for accuracy
• Assist with billing issues and maintain confidentiality of information

Required Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Minimum of two years' experience in a healthcare business office
• Preferred billing/coding experience in a healthcare organization
• Knowledge of anesthesia billing and relevant coding systems (CPT, ICD-10, ASA, HCPCS)
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and Workers Compensation rules and regulations
