Charge Entry Specialist

Job Summary

To support timely and compliant claim submissions, the full-time remote Charge Entry Specialist will accurately review and enter patient charges into the billing system, validate charge documentation, and resolve discrepancies by coordinating with clinical and billing teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Review supporting documentation to ensure all billable services are captured accurately
• Enter charges into the practice management and/or electronic health record system within required turnaround times
• Identify and correct charge discrepancies, applying client-specific charge rules and payer billing guidelines

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
• 1+ year of experience in healthcare billing, charge entry, or revenue cycle operations
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic reimbursement concepts
• Familiarity with CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and common claim form requirements
• Experience using PM/EHR systems and Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new client systems quickly
