Chargemaster Specialist

Job Summary

To maintain the operational integrity of internal business applications, the full-time remote Chargemaster Specialist will manage service requests, troubleshoot issues, and conduct detailed reviews of hospital and clinic chargemaster line items to ensure accurate coding and compliance.

Key responsibilities:

• Respond to and prioritize incoming service requests while assigning them to appropriate team members
• Enter chargemaster changes in hospital EHR systems and train new users in proprietary tools
• Identify and correct inaccuracies in HCPCS, CPT, and revenue codes within the client chargemaster

Required qualifications:

• 5 years of experience managing the chargemaster in a facility or hospital environment
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in medical coding with a deep understanding of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 systems
• Knowledge of healthcare laws, payer-specific guidelines, and Medicare/Medicaid billing protocols
• Coding credentials are preferred
