Chart Research Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Chart Research Specialist responsible for reviewing medical records for proper indexing.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure completeness of medical records in the electronic system by obtaining missing information
• Conduct reviews of medical records and document work processes as required
• Retrieve and scan medical records, verifying appropriate indexing and logging into hospital systems

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least one year of experience handling patient health information and/or medical records preferred
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle sensitive information appropriately
• Strong organizational and time management skills
