Chef Automation Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Chef Engineer to support infrastructure automation for a major enterprise client.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Chef cookbooks, recipes, and policies for automated configuration management
• Refactor and migrate legacy configuration scripts to Chef Infra best practices
• Integrate Chef workflows into CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot related infrastructure issues

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Chef Infra and related automation tooling
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code using Git and CI/CD tools
• Proficiency in Ruby and DSL scripting for Chef
• Solid understanding of Linux systems administration and cloud environments
• Experience with compliance standards and implementing policy-as-code
