Chemical Data Scientist

Job Summary

To support data accuracy and integrity, the full-time remote Chemical Data Scientist will build and maintain data pipelines for supplier and chemical product information, ensuring that buyers are matched with the right suppliers and specifications.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and build pipelines to collect and standardize supplier data and chemical product information from various sources
• Develop and maintain web scrapers and automated ETL workflows to ensure data is current and accurate
• Partner with Supplier Management and Engineering to define data quality standards and improve matching and classification models

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, or a related applied data role
• Working knowledge of chemistry or chemical industry data, including CAS numbers and SDS documents
• Strong Python skills with experience in building web scrapers and data pipelines
• Experience with data cleaning and normalization at scale
• Familiarity with matching, deduplication, or classification models, including traditional ML or LLM-based approaches
