Chemical Data Scientist

Job Summary

To support data accuracy in procurement, the full-time remote Chemical Data Scientist will design and maintain data pipelines that ensure supplier and chemical product information is accurate, current, and structured for the platform.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and build pipelines to collect and standardize supplier data and chemical product information from various sources
• Develop and maintain web scrapers and automated ETL workflows to ensure data remains current
• Clean and normalize inconsistent supplier data into structured formats suitable for internal tools and analytics

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a data science, data engineering, or applied data role, preferably with industrial datasets
• Working knowledge of chemistry or chemical industry data, including familiarity with CAS numbers and supplier certifications
• Strong Python skills with experience in building web scrapers and data pipelines
• Experience with data cleaning and normalization at scale
• Hands-on experience using AI tools and LLMs for data extraction and engineering workflows
