Chemical Process Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Chemical Process Engineer for a remote contract-to-direct hire position, this role focuses on providing process engineering services as the design technical lead on mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, and equipment design in the mining, minerals, and metals sector.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify and report changes to project scope while assisting with proposals, estimates, budgets, and schedules
• Develop and approve process engineering deliverables, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and equipment sizing calculations
• Participate in project design reviews and provide feedback on interdisciplinary deliverables

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, Process, or related engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Minimum 8 years of process/chemical engineering experience in the mining, minerals, and metals sector
• Proficiency in various process modeling software packages for design and optimization
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
• Competent use of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
