Chemist Coordinator for Product Safety

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Chemist as a Coordinator for Product Safety in the Research Sample area.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the process handling of shipping research and product samples within BASF systems
• Collect and evaluate classification and labeling according to European and international chemical regulations
• Coordinate customs tariff classification, hazardous goods classification, and provide necessary documentation

Required Qualifications

• University degree in Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry or related fields with experience in product safety, EHS, or chemical law
• Experience in chemical legislation (e.g., REACH, GHS) is advantageous
• Knowledge of product safety and supply chain/logistics, preferably in a BASF environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ideally familiar with SAP EHS and MM modules
• Fluent in English and German, with advanced knowledge of a third language preferred
