Chemist Night Shift

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Chemist for a night shift position in Lake County, IL.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently performs and verifies laboratory techniques while troubleshooting technical issues
• Contributes to team activities and decision-making, identifying and implementing improvement plans
• Manages time effectively to complete assigned tasks and make recommendations for improvements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in the sciences with 0-4 years of laboratory experience, or an Associate degree with at least 3 years of laboratory experience
• Desired technical competencies include LC, LCMS, GC, GCMS, ICP, Empower, Karl Fischer, dissolution, IR, titrations, and common wet chemical testing
• Ability to work night shifts (4x10 hour shifts)
• Willingness to undergo training on first shift before transitioning to night shifts
• 12-month contract with potential for extension or conversion
