Chemistry Adjunct Faculty

Job Summary

Offering a part-time remote opportunity, the Chemistry Adjunct Faculty will teach up to 3 courses per term in an online setting, providing a student-centered learning environment and engaging in instructional best practices for adult learners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction in synchronous or asynchronous seminars while maintaining virtual office hours
• Manage student correspondence and facilitate engaging discussions on message boards
• Submit accurate reports on student progress and enforce student conduct policies as outlined by the university

Required qualifications

• Master's Degree in Chemistry
• 1-3 years of related practical or professional experience, preferably in online higher education teaching
• Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom; experience with Brightspace is preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision
• Dedication to student success and the ability to inspire students in the classroom
