Job Summary

To support online baccalaureate degree programs, the part-time Chemistry Adjunct Instructor will facilitate engagement in 5-week undergraduate-level courses in Introductory Chemistry, providing timely feedback and fostering student interaction in an asynchronous learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate engagement and instruction for 5-week undergraduate chemistry courses with an average of 20 students
• Provide timely feedback and actively participate in discussion board tasks to enhance student learning
• Demonstrate commitment to the institution's values and contribute to a diverse and inclusive learning environment

Required qualifications

• Terminal degree (PhD) in chemistry or related discipline, or a master's degree with significant professional experience
• Proficiency in operating personal computers and software applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication skills using email and digital conferencing tools
• Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of the college
