Chief Academics and Innovation Officer

Job Summary

To drive educational innovation and quality across diverse partnerships, the full-time Chief Academics and Innovation Officer will manage a portfolio of high-quality offerings, oversee evidence-based product R&D, and lead a multidisciplinary team focused on improving learning outcomes in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Own and shape partnerships into a coherent portfolio of offerings with clear standards for adaptation
• Drive product research and development through structured decision-making processes prioritizing impact, scalability, and affordability
• Oversee the design and adoption of an impact measurement framework to inform decision-making across the organization

Required qualifications

• 10+ years in education, edtech, or product leadership with significant senior leadership experience
• Proven track record in designing and scaling products or programs that improve educational outcomes, ideally in Africa
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and working with government systems and global funders
• Strong grounding in learning science and ability to make data-informed decisions
• Advanced degree in education, economics, product design, learning sciences, or a related field is an asset
